We are excited to welcome families to our annual Middle School Open House events to kick off the beginning of the 2025-26 school year. The Middle School Open House is open to all families, whether you're returning to the district or joining us for the first time.
This year, we're especially thrilled to introduce our first-ever Book Fair, in partnership with Dog-Eared Books of Ames! The book fair will have new and popular books for grades 5-8, including chapter books, graphic novels, and young adult novels. There will also be exciting reads for adults and teachers, as well as fun back-to-school items.
Sales from the Book Fair will help the district earn books for our school libraries. We're grateful for Dog-Eared Books' collaboration and can’t wait for you and your student to explore a fantastic selection of books together.
Open House Dates & Times
Wednesday, August 20 | 4:00–6:00 p.m. | 5th & 6th Grade Families
Thursday, August 21 | 4:00–6:00 p.m. | 7th & 8th Grade Families
All students and their families will have the opportunity to:
Tour classrooms and walk through student schedules
Meet teachers and staff
Connect with food service and transportation staff
Enjoy a complimentary dinner (hot dogs and chips served both evenings)
