Boone High School agriculture students spent this year getting hands‑on with the same digital tools used on today’s farms — thanks to an exciting partnership with Iowa State University’s Digital Ag Innovation Lab.

Students in Mr. Fitzgerald’s precision agriculture class used a high‑tech GPS‑equipped simulation cart to collect and analyze real field data. The experience opened their eyes to the technology behind modern farming and the growing number of STEM careers in agriculture.

Students Delaney Good and Emersyn Zehner said the program completely changed how they view ag careers — showing them just how much skill, data, and technology go into keeping our food systems moving.

This collaboration is part of Boone CSD’s commitment to preparing students for the future with hands‑on, career‑ready learning.
