Next Friday is school picture day at Franklin! Picture information was sent home in Thursday folders yesterday and pictures should be ordered online. The code on the picture packet is valid until next Friday, September 20 for pre-orders. Approximately a week after picture day, a code will be emailed to families to view and purchase school pictures IF you have an email in Infinite Campus. We have extra informational packets at the office if anyone needs an extra one.

Happy Friday! It's Toreador spirit day!! ❤️💚

Had a great pep rally today to celebrate homecoming week! Shout out to the high school students and staff for taking time out of their day to put on a fun event for our kids! Roll 'Dors! 💚❤️

Everyone was pretty comfortable in their pajamas today!
Tomorrow is Hawaiian/tie dye day. Let's see those Hawaiian shirts and tie dyed outfits! 🌴😎

Franklin Parents: The City of Boone will be doing some resurfacing work on 22nd Street, which is on the north side of Franklin. Drivers will not be able to turn on or off of 22nd Street on Friday, 9/13 or Monday, 9/16. The only places to turn on/off of 22nd Street will be at Division, Story and Linn. Please make sure to plan accordingly for drop off and pick up.

Lots of fun repping our favorite teams and colors today for BHS homecoming week! No need to get dressed for school on Wednesday because tomorrow is pajama day! 😊

Franklin Families: The attached information outlines student expectations for Toreador home football games. Please note, elementary students are expected to sit with their parents and be supervised at all times during the games. Parents should NOT drop elementary students off at the game and leave them or allow them to run around during the game.

We had our first character assembly of the year on Friday! We wrapped up our Kindness Kickoff week and introduced our first character trait of the month: Respect. We ended with a minute to win it competition with the staff and our kids loved it! Thanks to all of our staff who were willing to have fun with the assembly!

High 5 Friday was a great way to start the day! Shout out to Coach Sandquist and the Bears for stopping by! We appreciate your support of our kids!

Here are a few photos from our expectation rotation.

We had an AMAZING first week of school! It started with an "expectation rotation" where students rotated around and learned the expectations in our different common areas (lunchroom, restroom, recess, hallways, etc). Teachers did some community building with their homerooms for our Kindness Kickoff and the week ended with a visit from the DMACC basketball team for "high 5 Friday" and our first ever character assembly. It's going to be a great year! 💚❤️

Franklin Families: Tomorrow is the first day of school and we're so excited to welcome back all of our students for a great school year! The first four days will be our "Kindness Kickoff" for the year. It's a great way to build community in our classrooms and remind students the importance of being kind to one another. Please see the attached family connection newsletter for information about how you can support the Kindness Kickoff at home!
