BIG thanks to our elementary PTO for putting together a great block party last week! It was great to see so many of our families out to celebrate a successful school year. Thanks to the PTO for all of their hard work and support of our schools!

To support the Kids Heart Challenge, Mr. Hilmer agreed to let the student who raised the most money in each grade pie him in the face! He kept his word on Friday and 2 of the 3 students got their chance! Our students did a great job raising funds to support heart health! Two of our second grade students raised over $700 each! ❤️💪🏻

Congratulations to our students who received the last Kid of Character certificates for the year on Friday! We're so proud of all the positive character traits our students have demonstrated throughout this school year! ❤️💚

Our 4th graders did a "clean up Franklin" project this morning. They pulled weeds, picked up trash, swept mulch, raked and spread fresh mulch. They were amazing and did a great job working together! The building looks great! 💚❤️💪🏻

Big thanks to Darcy Newcomb and the staff at the Boone pool! Our Franklin students had a great time celebrating their hard work during the 22-23 school year with an afternoon of swimming! The weather was amazing both days and our students had a great time. We appreciate the lifeguards and staff making it possible for our students to come over for an afternoon of fun!

Reminder: The elementary block party is scheduled for tonight, 5:00-7:00 at the Lincoln Elementary playground. Hope to see lots of our families there!

Franklin Families: Our swimming reward days will be on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. Students can use accumulated pride points to pay for an afternoon at the Boone pool. This has been a tradition at Franklin for quite a while and one that's a fun reward for our students after a year of hard work and growth. All 3rd grade, Caruth and Griffin will be going on Tuesday. 4th grade, Nolan, Elsner and Minnehan will be going on Wednesday. Students will need to bring swimsuits, a towel and sunscreen to school with them in the morning. They will have time to change before boarding the bus to the pool. All students will be required to pass a swimming proficiency test before being allowed to swim in the big pool. If students are not able to pass the swimming test yet, they'll have fun in the smaller pool. Students will also have to take another test before being allowed to use the diving board. Lifeguards will be on duty as well as a lot of Franklin staff to ensure the safety of our students. Each year, we have a small number of students who aren't able to go or choose not to attend for various reasons. If your child is not able or uncomfortable with attending, please make sure to communicate with their classroom teacher. The weather looks great and we're looking forward to a couple of fun days at the pool. As always, please contact the Franklin office if you have any questions.

Congratulations to our students who received Kid of Character certificates at lunch on Friday! Big thanks to Mr. C for handing out certificates!

Congratulations to Mr. Hammen and the Toreador tennis team on qualifying for state!

Franklin Families: Friendly reminder that all school library books were due back to school last Friday. Currently, we still have over 300 library books that have not been returned. Please make sure to return all library books so Mrs. Schuler and Mrs. Eggett can get inventory completed. Thanks for your help with this!

Here are a few pictures from our Books for Bikes celebration! One more big thank you to Mount Olive Lodge #79 for supporting our schools!

Congratulations to our students who received Kid of Character certificates this week at lunch! ❤️💚

Due to the weather forecast, field day will be on Tuesday this week instead of Monday. The weather looks great on Tuesday and should make for a great field day for our students! 😎☀️

Happy National School Nurse Day to this special nurse! She does such an amazing job caring for our students and staff at Franklin! Not sure what we'd do without her! We appreciate you Mrs. Solomon!
💚❤️

HUGE thanks to Mount Olive Lodge #79 for their support of our elementary students! We had another successful year of Books for Bikes and we truly appreciate their support! Our Franklin students read over 160,000 minutes this year and submitted those minutes for our books for bikes drawing. We had 24 students in 1st-4th grades who were lucky to take home a new bike for all of their reading minutes. We're so appreciative of the partnership with Mount Olive Lodge #79 and their support of our schools! We're working on getting some pictures of the assembly and will hopefully post those soon.
