Also, if your kiddos were extra tired, hungry and possibly crabby this week, that’s normal. It doesn’t mean they don’t like school. It takes them some time to get back into the routine and they go hard all day. Combined that with the heat we’ve had and it was a tiring week! Even our staff were exhausted by Friday. 😂😂

Friday afternoon vibes!
We had a great first week of school! It was so much fun seeing all of our students back and ready to learn! Remember that Wednesday is our first early release day of the year. Students will be dismissed at 1:25. We only have 1 early release for teacher professional development each month this year and they’re on the first Wednesday. Have a great weekend!

We had a great first day at Franklin yesterday! Thanks to all of our families for being patient with morning drop off, bussing and afternoon pick up. Things take a little longer as we get the routine down on the first few days and things will get faster as our students learn those routines. We really appreciate all of our families working with us to ensure the safety of our kids. Quick reminder for 3rd & 4th grade families who pick students up. You can also meet students at the northeast corner of the building near Crawford and 20th Street, next to our playground. Just be aware of our buses coming down Crawford at that time. All of our 2nd grade students being picked up come to the lunchroom and are picked up in the loop but 3rd & 4th are able to do either. We're looking forward to another great day today!
