Tonight is McTeacher night at the Boone McDonald's!

We're looking forward to the Harvest Hoedown on Friday. Thanks again to everyone who has volunteered. We could still use a couple of volunteers for the 10:20-11:20 shift (Elsner, Rohner, Minnehan, Griffin) and the 1:30 - 2:30 shift (Kubik, Castle). Make sure to bring your driver's license when you check-in for your volunteer shift!

Also, we're still collecting donations for prizes if anyone has any. Thanks!

Franklin Families:
We're excited to let you know that two of our Boone Edge students from BHS will be offering free family photos during our fall conferences on November 9 & 11. We'll be sending out more information about how to sign up for a time in the next few days. We're hoping lots of our families take advantage of the opportunity to get a quality family picture taken!
Franklin Families,
The Harvest Hoedown is scheduled for Friday, October 29. This is a fun activity to celebrate the hard work of our students through the first grading period. Classes are scheduled for 1 hour blocks and they'll be able to spend their pride points on a variety of carnival-type games and activities. We're looking for some volunteers to help with carnival booths and activities that day. Please use the link below to sign up if you're able to help out!
Note: Classes are listed on the sign up for the time they're scheduled to attend the activities.

Second grade is working hard to learn about all of the non-fiction text features! Make sure to ask your second grade student about it!

Congratulations to our students who received Kid of Character certificates at lunch today!
Note: Officer Bailey did not receive a Kid of Character certificate but probably deserves one! 😊

Thanks to officer Bailey for stopping by at lunch today!

Please see the attached flyer for information about the upcoming McTeacher's night fundraiser. This event is sponsored by our elementary PTO.

4th grade parents: Quick reminder that 4th grade students will be going on a field trip to Swede Point Park in Madrid for a day of outdoor learning on Thursday. It’s supposed to be nice weather by the afternoon but will be chilly in the morning. Make sure to help your 4th grader dress for the weather so they can have a great day! Layers would be a great idea! 😎
The elementary PTO will be meeting tonight from 5:30 - 6:30. Here's the link to join the virtual meeting:

4th Grade Parents:
On Thursday, our 4th grade students will be taking a field trip to Swede Point in Madrid for an outdoor classroom experience. You should have received information from teachers on Thursday folders and/or electronically. Please check your email and your student’s backpack if you haven’t received that information.
Congratulations to our students who received Kid of Character certificates this week!

Here's some information about a Halloween carnival/haunted house put on by the BHS student council. This event is for students in K-8. Hope some of our families are able to attend!

Mrs. Freund’s 3rd grade students working on the concept of division and different ways to divide a number into equal groups. There was some great thinking going on!

On October 11th & 14th, the Boone Papa Murphy's will be teaming up with Mount Olive Lodge to raise funds for the Books for Bikes program. 10% of all purchases from 4-7 p.m. will go to support Books for Bikes. We encourage everyone to grab a pizza and support a great program for our kids. Bonus - you won't have to cook dinner that night!

A couple more pictures of 2nd graders designing their prototype buildings!

As part of their communities unit, Mrs. Elsner’s class designed buildings that they think we need in Boone. Today, they went to the STEM room to build prototypes for their designs!
