Tomorrow we kick off HONESTY month at Franklin! Wear your camo to support our theme, "We don't hide from the truth!"
Tomorrow is "Pack the Gym" night at the BHS boys and girls basketball games! Elementary students will receive free admission to the games WITH a paid adult. The attached flyer has more information about the event. Elementary students are expected to be in the gym with their family watching the games and supporting our BHS basketball teams. They should NOT be unsupervised in the high school commons or any other areas of the high school. Any students who are unsupervised will be directed to go sit with their parents. Hope to see lots of our families at the games supporting the Toreadors!
Franklin Families: Elementary math & science night which was scheduled for tomorrow evening has been postponed to a later date. Please see the attached letter for more information. We'll let everyone know when a new date has been selected.

On top of all the great learning happening at Franklin, we have a few exciting events coming up this week! Here's what students can expect:
Wednesday: BHS students will stop by Franklin for a winter activities pep rally. Students are encouraged to wear their Toreador gear or Toreador colors to support our BHS Toreadors!
Thursday: Math/Science night! This event will be taking place at both Ledges and Franklin. Families are welcome to stop by one or the other or spend some time at both. We'll be serving pizza at both locations and there will be lots of fun science and math activities and games for families to work on together. 4:30-6:30 at Ledges & Franklin.
Friday: We'll be having our monthly character assembly to celebrate perseverance month and kick off our focus on honesty! Our theme is "You can't hide from the truth!" Students are encouraged to wear camo colors on Friday!

Boone Schools will be on a 2 hour delay tomorrow (Tuesday, January 21) due to cold temperatures and wind chills. School will start at 10:05 for Franklin students. Buses will run 2 hours later than normal and there will be no breakfast served at Franklin tomorrow.
Reminder: There is no school tomorrow, January 20, due to the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. Stay warm and we'll see all of our students back on Tuesday morning!

It's supposed to be pretty chilly this week so please make sure to help your student(s) make good choices about winter clothing. As a reminder, we have outside recess if the wind chill is above zero. 3rd grade had a great time at Cafe Winter this week! Thanks again to all of our amazing school staff, food service staff and high school students who helped make it happen!
Franklin Families: Tomorrow is pajama day for the whole school. We switched it due to the theme for our Character Strong assembly.
Some classrooms may also be doing a pajama day on Friday, which would have been communicated by classroom teachers but we'll be doing a pajama day for the whole school tomorrow. So... feel free to send kids in their PJs on Thursday!

Cafe Winter for 3rd & 4th was a big success on Friday! Big thanks to all of our staff who helped with decorating, setting up, serving and cleaning up. Thanks to our high school volunteers who helped with service. Special THANK YOU to our amazing kitchen staff! Cafe Winter is quite a bit of extra work for them and they were amazing. 3rd grade has reservations this week and it should be fun!
