The Holidays have begun and Christmas is coming up very fast. Student council is excited to announce that we are starting our Christmas in the Box Fundraiser for the families we have listed below. Some families we are still missing information, but we have all the information for the rest. Student Council is hoping that everyone can help spread the word or donate so these families and have a joyful Christmas. If any questions please reach out to the Student Council adviser Shannon Glass Lumley. All things can be dropped off at the High School and will be shared with the proper families. This year's Hope Festival as it is quickly approaching! The 2021 "Seasons of Hope" Festival will be on December 4th, 2021. Our festival will be in person this year and will take place in the high school commons from 10:00AM - 2:00PM with basket pickup between 2:00PM and 4:00PM.

The Boone Endowment Foundation is an organization that has distributed over $575,000 to the Boone Community School District to fund programs and projects that benefit students' education. They recently announced a Fareway Giving Campaign for the month of December. For every donation, Fareway will match it up to $5,000!

As we come back from break, our food service department wishes to give thanks with a grateful heart for all of our district families and students. Would you believe we served 1,467 meals for Thanksgiving? We prepared 500 pounds of Turkey, 655 pounds of Mashed Potatoes, 310 pounds of Green Beans, 295 pounds of Stuffing, 50 gallons of Gravy, and 1,467 Pumpkin Bars and Dinner Rolls! We love what we do!!

Our kitchens are gearing up for Friday's Thanksgiving Feast! Please note that due to supply chain problems we will be unable to serve Green Bean Casserole. We will be substituting plain green beans. We are super grateful for all families, students, and staff in our district!
