"I love working with students and believe everyone has the capacity to learn at their own pace in their own way. I love helping students on their way to living the most independent lives possible, however that looks for them," shared Chelsea. "I am truly lucky to have a job where I get to wake up every day and work with students. I spend my days laughing, smiling, and learning more and more each day about life, and I strive to continue to find new ways to reach students."

🌟 Meet Officer Chase Smith 🌟 We’re thrilled to introduce Officer Chase Smith, the new School Resource Officer for Boone Community School District. With a strong commitment to the community and a familiar face around Boone, Officer Smith brings both experience and a passion for positive engagement to our schools.
👮 Before joining us at Boone CSD, Officer Smith served in the patrol division of the Boone Police Department, joining their ranks in November 2022 and graduating from the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy in April 2023.
💬 Officer Smith is eager to work with our students and staff, aiming to build strong, positive relationships and enhance the bond between our community and law enforcement. His approachable nature and genuine interest in people’s stories make him a perfect fit for this role.
🏫 A Boone High School alumnus (Class of 2012), Officer Smith’s roots run deep in our community. Alongside his dedication to law enforcement, he shares a personal life filled with music, movies, and memorable family trips with his wife Jenna and their three daughters.
